IVE Teams Up With Korean Hip-Hop Icon in Unexpected Collaboration

K-pop girl group IVE is teaming up with Korean hip-hop artist Tiger JK for a remix of its new song "Looks Can Kill."

According to Starship Entertainment, the group will release "Looks Can Kill (Alawn Remix (Feat. Tiger JK))" on Oct. 30 at 1 p.m. KST through major music streaming platforms.

The remix was produced by Alawn, a multiplatinum producer who has worked on several Billboard chart-topping songs. Tiger JK, a prominent figure in Korean hip-hop, contributed a rap feature, bringing a different sound to the original track.

"Looks Can Kill" is an electronic dance-pop song about how anyone can become the main character and hero of their own life. Heavy bass, driving drums and layered electronic sounds highlight IVE's signature confidence and self-assured attitude.

The song has already achieved notable results. Its music video topped YouTube's Music Video Trending Worldwide chart, while the track reached No. 1 on Melon's weekly Global-K chart.

Challenge videos posted on IVE's official social media accounts have also surpassed 100 million combined views.

With a new arrangement by Alawn and a rap feature from Tiger JK, IVE is offering listeners a fresh take on "Looks Can Kill."
