Why Did BTS's V Suddenly Disappear? Blame the Tuna Mayo Kimbap

K-pop group BTS member V has given fans a glimpse of his everyday life, sharing photos of himself enjoying a simple meal of triangle kimbap.

On Nov. 8, V posted a photo on the fan platform Weverse with the message, "Sorry I suddenly disappeared. I wanted some triangle kimbap." The photo showed a tuna mayo triangle kimbap inside a microwave.

He then shared a selfie holding the snack and added, "Forgive me." In the photo, V wears a black Nike cap and headphones, covering his mouth with the kimbap as he winks at the camera. The sight of the global star enjoying a simple convenience store snack caught fans' attention.

Earlier, V had been interacting with fans by replying to their posts on Weverse. He briefly stopped commenting to grab something to eat and later explained his absence to fans who might have been waiting for his replies.

Fans responded with comments such as "His love for tuna mayo hasn't changed," "So cute," "It's so thoughtful of him to explain why he disappeared," "He looks so handsome even while eating triangle kimbap," and "Of course we'll forgive you."

Meanwhile, BTS is currently on its "ARIRANG" world tour. The group wrapped up the South American leg of the tour with a concert in São Paulo, Brazil, on Oct. 31. BTS will continue the tour with performances at Kaohsiung National Stadium in Taiwan on Nov. 19, 21 and 22.
