TWICE's Jihyo Teams Up With Shenseea for New Collaboration 'Distant Lover'
TWICE's Jihyo has joined forces with Jamaican singer and rapper Shenseea for the new collaborative single "Distant Lover," released July 10 at 1 p.m. KST.
Built on a laid-back Afrobeats groove, the track explores the emotional uncertainty of a "situationship," capturing the push and pull between two people who struggle to define their relationship while remaining drawn to each other. Heavy basslines and unhurried rhythms underscore the song's atmosphere, while Jihyo's warm vocals blend with Shenseea's signature dancehall style.
The release marks Jihyo's latest international collaboration as she continues to expand her solo activities alongside TWICE. Earlier this year, she featured on Jenevieve's "Hvnly," followed by "Follow Me," a global collaboration released in connection with the 2026 FIFA World Cup featuring French Montana, Ludmilla, Adriana C and producer RedOne.
The new single arrives as TWICE prepares to wrap up its "THIS IS FOR" world tour with a three-night encore concert at Seoul's KSPO DOME from July 10 to 12. All three shows sold out, bringing the group's largest tour to date to a close after 81 performances across 44 cities worldwide.
