BTS to Premiere 'Normal' Music Video on Spotify
BTS will premiere the music video for "Normal," a track from its fifth full-length album "Arirang," exclusively on Spotify at 1 p.m. KST on July 17.
The group also surprised fans by releasing a teaser through the Hybe Labels YouTube channel at midnight. Set in a public restroom, the clip shows the members in an unexpectedly ordinary setting, highlighting the candid, unfiltered side of BTS rather than their polished stage personas.
The teaser also revealed the source of the mysterious newspaper advertisements that appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle and New York Post earlier this week. The campaign featured a still from the upcoming music video alongside the tongue-in-cheek headline, "Some have questioned whether the situation was entirely normal," sparking speculation among fans.
Alongside the video release, BTS will drop two additional versions of the song, including a Korean-language version and an instrumental, bringing the total number of available versions to three.
Originally released in March, "Normal" is an alternative pop track reflecting the seven members' everyday lives and thoughts. The song debuted at No. 41 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has been praised for its understated vocals and conversational delivery. Meanwhile, "Arirang" continues its steady run on the Billboard 200, while title track "Swim" remains on the Hot 100 for a 16th consecutive week.
