BTS' 'Butter' Music Video Surpasses 1.1 Billion YouTube Views

BTS has reached another milestone on YouTube as the music video for its global hit "Butter" surpassed 1.1 billion views.

Released in May 2021, "Butter" became the group's seventh music video to cross the 1.1 billion mark, joining "Dynamite," "Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey)," "DNA," "MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)," "FAKE LOVE" and "IDOL."

The video pairs sleek black-and-white scenes with vibrant color sequences, shifting between formal suits and casual sportswear while highlighting BTS' polished choreography. Signature moments, including the members' hair-flip gesture, hand-kiss move and energetic footwork, helped make the performance instantly recognizable among fans. Upon its release, the video set a then-K-pop record by reaching 100 million views in just 21 hours.

"Butter," BTS' second all-English single following "Dynamite," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated June 5, 2021. It became the group's 10th chart-topper and remained on the chart for 20 weeks.

BTS continues to dominate YouTube with multiple billion-view music videos, led by "Dynamite" at more than 2.1 billion views.
