BTS' 'MIC Drop' Remix Hits 1.6 Billion Views on YouTube

BTS' "MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)" music video has surpassed 1.6 billion views on YouTube, becoming the group's fourth video to reach the milestone.

The video crossed 1.6 billion views at around 6:37 p.m. KST on Sept. 16. It follows "Dynamite," "Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey)" and "DNA" as BTS' fourth music video to pass the mark.

Released in November 2017, "MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)" reworked the original track from BTS' "LOVE YOURSELF 承 'Her'" with producer and DJ Steve Aoki, transforming it into an electro-trap track. The remix debuted at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 and remained on the chart for 10 weeks.

Its music video opens with Aoki behind the DJ booth before shifting to BTS' choreography across several industrial sets, including an interrogation room filled with microphones and a scene featuring burning cars.

The milestone adds to BTS' extensive catalog of widely viewed music videos, which also includes "IDOL" and "FAKE LOVE."
