TWS Is Growing Up, and Their Music Is Growing With Them
TWS is preparing to explore a more introspective side of its signature "boyhood pop" sound with its second single album, "TO US," arriving Nov. 2.
While the six-member group's earlier releases focused on the excitement of growing up, the upcoming project turns toward the doubts, pressures and uncertainties behind that journey.
According to PLEDIS Entertainment, the members' personal experiences and thoughts helped shape the album from its early planning stages.
Title track "Call My Name" expresses TWS' determination to give everything onstage for their fans, known as 42. Members Youngjae, Shinyu and Dohoon contributed to the lyrics.
The song retains the group's melodic pop sound while introducing a more reflective atmosphere, with piano performed by jazz pianist Yoon Seok-cheol.
The album's other two tracks explore different emotions. "WE UP" focuses on ambition and the desire to reach bigger stages, while "heavy" offers reassurance to young people struggling with life's pressures.
Together, the three songs present a broader picture of youth, moving beyond carefree optimism to acknowledge the challenges that come with growing up.
"TO US" will be released Nov. 2.
