BTS Makes K-POP History in Italy as 'ARIRANG' Goes Platinum
BTS has reached another international milestone as its fifth studio album, "ARIRANG," received Platinum certification in Italy.
According to the Federation of the Italian Music Industry (FIMI) on Nov. 2, "ARIRANG" became the first K-POP album to achieve the certification, awarded for 50,000 album-equivalent units.
The milestone comes approximately six months after the album received Gold certification in April.

Meanwhile, "ARIRANG" continues its run on the U.S. Billboard charts.
The album ranked No. 57 on the Billboard 200 dated Nov. 7, marking its 32nd consecutive week on the chart. It also placed No. 25 on Top Album Sales.
Title track "SWIM" reached No. 33 on the Global 200 and No. 13 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, while reentering Adult Contemporary at No. 29.
BTS recently completed the Latin American leg of its "ARIRANG" World Tour, drawing approximately 853,000 fans across 14 sold-out concerts in five cities.
The group will resume touring in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, later this month before continuing through Southeast Asia in December.
